Introduction to Art in Clay |
In November Art in Clay are holding their 12th Southern Pottery and Ceramics Show in Farnham, Surrey. Alongside the usual high calibre of potters, this year they will be featuring the work of Ashraf Hanna, Deidre Burnett, Mary Wondraush three internationally acclaimed makers. Deidre known more recently for her stoneware and porcelain vessels, many with textured volcanic surfaces, has works in collections across the globe and has been making and exhibiting since 1971.
From further a field, Lluis Soler & Nuria Alba will be travelling from Spain to show their distinctive figurative work. We’re pleased to have Niek Hoogland from Holland making his Farnham debut Niek makes pots to use and serve food in and he calls himself ‘a village potter’…….it’s a big village as he now has a large International following especially in the u.k.
