Introduction to Art in Clay

The 14th Art in Clay Festival takes place in November in Farnham, Surrey.

There will be a range of work from newly qualified artists working in clay to potters with many years of creative work behind them. From animal sculptures and circus clowns to kitchen and garden pots with a variety in between to interest any one that enjoys skilfully crafted objects.

Niek Hoogland, a very popular Dutch potter, will be here for his second visit to Farnham; his colourful red terracotta slipware pots, tiles and sculptures will be on display to delight all those interested in pots for food.

Mary Wondrausch, a local octogenarian potter, will be showing her ever popular and attractive range of slipware. From commemorative plates to olive dishes, there's something for everyone. Inspired by food and cooking; Mary's pots are at home anywhere from the most traditional kitchen to the most modern.

The students from the University College for the Creative Arts will be exhibiting their degree show work. Come along and support the next generation and be rewarded by the creativity and skill on display.
You will be delighted with the range of exhibitors and work at the show that has become a highlight on the calendar of art collectors in the South and South East.

With such a strong emphasis on homes and interiors we are looking forward to welcoming not only collectors and enthusiasts, who know to expect vibrant, high quality work, but also people looking to buy something different for themselves or their friends and family this Christmas.

Mark Art in Clay on your calendar as an event not to be missed, you won't be disappointed.
